Energy Awareness

Are you superstitious?

I’ve never considered myself superstitious in the traditional sense—no avoiding black cats, walking under ladders, or throwing salt over my shoulder. But if I really stop to think about it, maybe superstition isn’t as simple as just believing in ‘bad luck.’

Many of us, whether we realise it or not, carry small rituals, habits, or beliefs that might be considered superstitions. I wear certain gemstones for protection, energy, or clarity. I sense the energy in a space before settling in. I trust my gut when something feels off. Is that intuition, or is it superstition in another form?

Superstition often comes down to a belief in unseen forces influencing our lives. And when you look at it that way, it’s not so different from the way ancient wisdom, energy work, and even modern science hint at a world beyond what we can see. Quantum physics suggests that observation changes reality. Spiritual teachings say that intention shapes our outcomes. Superstitions say that actions—like knocking on wood—ward off bad fortune. Are these really separate ideas, or just different ways of understanding the same mystery?

For me, it’s not about fearing bad luck but about respecting the energy that flows through everything. Some might call it superstition; I call it awareness.

So, are you superstitious? Or do you, like me, simply feel the currents of something unseen guiding your path?
