For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt like I was walking a path that wasn’t truly mine. I’ve spent years navigating the demands of modern life—balancing work, family, responsibilities, and the endless mental to-do list that never seems to quiet down.
But deep inside, something has always whispered to me: There is another way.
That whisper grows louder when I’m in nature. The moment I step into the woods, away from the constant noise of the world, I feel something shift. My shoulders relax. My mind slows. My body feels lighter, like I can finally breathe. The forest has always been my refuge, the one place where I feel truly myself.
And so, Whispers of the Forest was born—my space to explore, reflect, and document this journey of breaking free from the expectations placed upon us and returning to a more authentic, connected way of living.
Who I Am & Why I Started This Blog
I am a woman, a mother, a wife, and someone who has always felt a deep pull toward the natural world. My life has been shaped by experiences that have left me both strong and sensitive—highly aware of the energy around me, easily overstimulated, and deeply affected by the fast pace of modern life.
It wasn’t until my 30s that I was diagnosed with ADHD, and suddenly, everything started making sense. The constant mental chatter, the overwhelm, the exhaustion from social interactions—it wasn’t just “me being different.” It was how my brain was wired. But beyond that, I began to realise something even deeper:
I wasn’t just overwhelmed by the tasks and demands of life. I was overwhelmed by the energy of it all.
I’ve always been someone who feels everything—people’s emotions, the weight of the world, the shifts in the atmosphere. I notice the way the wind changes before a storm, the way birds go silent in moments of tension, the way the forest seems to hum with a quiet, steady energy that calms me in a way nothing else can.
The more I leaned into nature, the more I understood:
🌿 I don’t thrive in chaos—I thrive in stillness.
🌿 I don’t belong in the system that demands we hustle endlessly—I belong in the rhythm of the seasons, the cycles of the earth.
🌿 I don’t need more productivity—I need more presence.
And that is what this blog is about.
What You’ll Find Here
Whispers of the Forest is a space where I share my journey toward a simpler, freer, more intentional life. A life rooted in nature, in presence, and in a deeper understanding of myself.
Here, I’ll be writing about:
🌿 Breaking Free from Survival Mode – Healing from past trauma, embracing sensitivity, and learning how to exist without constantly bracing for the next storm.
🌿 Spiritual Awakening & Energy Awareness – Understanding the way I feel energy, how it affects me, and how I can protect my own.
🌿 Simple & Intentional Living – Steps I’m taking toward self-sufficiency, homesteading dreams, and creating a life that aligns with my values.
🌿 Lessons from Nature – What the earth, the seasons, and the quiet spaces of the world are teaching me about who I am and how I want to live.
I don’t have all the answers. I am still in the process of unlearning, of figuring things out, of shedding the layers of conditioning that have kept me tied to a life that never quite fit. But I do know this:
I am done with the noise. I am ready to listen to the whispers.
My Plans Going Forward
Right now, I am still living within the system, still balancing responsibilities, still figuring out how to transition to the life I long for. But every day, I am taking small steps—learning, growing, moving closer to a reality that feels right.
My long-term dream is to live in a rural, self-sufficient homestead, surrounded by nature, where my family and I can live in tune with the land rather than being trapped by the demands of modern society.
Until then, I am focusing on:
🌿 Spending more time in nature and documenting what I learn from it.
🌿 Protecting my energy and understanding how to navigate the world as someone who feels everything.
🌿 Taking practical steps toward self-sufficiency and intentional living, even within my current reality.
🌿 Writing, sharing, and connecting with others who feel this same shift happening.
If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite belong in this world, like you were meant for something different, like the noise of modern life is drowning out the voice inside you—you are not alone.
Let’s walk this path together. Let’s listen to the whispers.
